Adding contracts to spaces

Adding contracts to shared spaces requires specific permissions. To upload or create contracts within a space, you must have “Manage contracts” permissions for that specific space. Without this shared space permission, you will not be able to use the buttons to add contracts, regardless of your type of company user permissions.

Add contracts to a space

Populating your shared contract spaces ensures your company maintains centralized access to all legal documents. You can use any of the following methods to add contracts to an existing contract space:

  • Open the shared space from the Contracts main menu tab and click on the blue Create and sign button at the top right-hand side of the screen (or in the middle of the screen for empty contract spaces). Select Create a draft from the dropdown options to create a new contract draft from scratch, Contractbook templates library, or shared in spaces templates directly within that specific space. You can also use this menu to create a new draft from a Word or PDF file.

  • Select existing contracts from any private space, or one of your Contract views and move them into a shared contract space by clicking on Move to a space.

  • Select contracts from your AI upload or Contract views under the main Contracts menu tab and click on Move to a space to save them within the shared space. This duplicates the contracts in the selected contract space while they will also remain available in the AI upload or Contract view.

  • Locate any existing contracts in another private or shared contract space and move them into a shared contract space by clicking on Move to a space from the three dots contextual menu next to the contract title. This will not duplicate the contract, it will disappear entirely from the source contract space.
