How to use the AI Contract Assistant
The AI Contract Assistant is a paid Add-on and requires a specific type of subscription. If you cannot find it under your account in Contractbook and want to use it, you can contact our Support team or your dedicated Customer Success Manager to learn more.
The AI Contract Assistant allows you to instantly extract legal insights, summarize terms, figure out how to clarify complex clauses, and much more. It functions as a context-specific tool and will only appear when you are actively viewing a draft, contract, or template under your Contractbook account.
Open the specific draft, contract, or template you want to review.
Click the AI assistant icon located in the bottom right corner of the document screen to open the interactive chat panel.
Type your specific question or prompt into the message text field at the bottom of the assistant panel or use one of the suggested topics to begin.
Press Enter on your keyboard to submit your request and receive an automated plain-English response.
Managing your chat sessions
If you want to clear your current queries or switch topics while working on the same document, you can quickly refresh the panel to start fresh.
Click the Reset conversation button located at the top right corner of the open AI assistant panel.
