Can I export my contract data to CSV?
Exporting contract data to CSV is tied directly to your Contract views. By adding, removing, or rearranging columns in your view, you manage exactly what data gets exported from your contracts present in the view. Once downloaded locally, you can easily share this CSV file with other company users or relevant external collaborators.
Note: CSV export is a premium feature available in some of our paid plans. If you do not see the option to export from your Contract view, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information on how to get this feature.
Export contract data to a CSV file
The exported CSV data includes only the information and contracts available in the specific contract view you are currently accessing.
Click on the Contracts tab from the main navigation menu.
Select the specific Contract view you want to export.
Organize the view by adding custom data fields or other relevant fields as columns.
Filter or sort the contracts to refine the exact list you want to download.
Click the Export to CSV button in the top menu of your Contract view.
Wait for the icon's status to change, indicating the loading progress of your CSV file.
Click on the downloaded file in your browser to access it locally on your computer.
Frequently asked questions
Which contract data will not be exported?
While most columns you add to your view will export, the following data points will not be included in the CSV file: Tags, Location (spaces), Shared with, Tasks, and Comments.
Can I control the order of columns in my exported CSV file?
Yes. The order of columns in your CSV file will perfectly match the sequence you set in your Contract view, with one exception: party and signee details. Because the number of signees varies across contracts, these fields will always appear as the last columns in your CSV.
What happens if I export contracts with empty columns?
If a contract does not have data for a specific column in your view, that column will still appear in your CSV file, but the cell will simply remain empty.
Can I export my contracts to CSV while using AI Import?
Yes. You can use the CSV export and AI import features simultaneously. The exported CSV file will include all verified contracts, but will automatically exclude any files that are currently in progress via the AI upload.
