Merge data fields
You can consolidate similar fields to eliminate duplicates and ensure consistent company contract insights. You can only merge two fields of the same type from your Company data fields library.
To consolidate fields, you must have rights to “Manage data fields library”. Ensure you have this user permission enabled before proceeding, or contact your company administrator for help.
Merge fields from the library overview
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select Data fields library under the “Company” section from the menu.
Hover over the first data field you want to use in the merge, and click the checkbox that appears on the left side of the field's name to select it.
Click the checkbox for the second data field. You can only merge two data fields of the same type at once.
Click the Merge button that appears in the action bar at the bottom of the page. Review the warning screen to verify the merge order. The top field will be deleted and replaced by the bottom field across your existing documents and templates.
Click the Reverse order button if you need to swap which field is kept and which is deleted.
Click Continue to proceed.
Type MERGE into the text field to provide your final confirmation and complete the merging process.
Merge from the properties panel
Alternatively, you can initiate a merge directly from a single data field's Properties panel.
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select Data fields library under the “Company” section from the menu.
Click the three dots next to the name of the data field you wish to remove after the merge and select Edit from the menu to open its properties panel.
Scroll down to the Merge field under the Admin settings section.
Click the Merge button.
Search for and select the target data field you want to keep after the merge.
Click the red Continue button and then type MERGE to provide a final confirmation:
Click on the red Merge button to confirm the action.
