Set up an authenticator app
Contractbook supports two exclusive methods for 2FA login: the default email verification code, and a highly secure authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or 1Password).
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select Profile settings.
Scroll down to the Two-factor authentication section.
Click the Set up button.
Scan the displayed QR code using your preferred authenticator app.
If you cannot scan it, click the Can’t scan the code? link to copy the manual Secret Key.
Click on the blue Continue button.
Type the 6-digit code from your external app into the Authenticator code verification field.
Click on the blue Confirm button to finish setup.
Save your backup codes
Review the 10 single-use backup codes displayed on your screen.
Click Copy Codes or Download Codes to save them in a secure location.
Click the I’ve saved my backup codes checkbox to complete. These codes are critical if you lose access to your device with the external application for the verification process.
Once you have saved your backup codes, click on the blue Done button to complete.
Log in with 2FA
Navigate to the Contractbook login page and enter your password.
Type the 6-digit verification code requested on the screen.
If using the email method, check your inbox. If using the app, check your external authentication application.
Click the blue button to Verify and log in.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to 2FA if my company uses SSO?
If your company enforces Single Sign-On (SSO) like Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, the 2FA step is always bypassed in Contractbook. Your login security is handled directly by your SSO provider.
What should I do if I lose my device or backup codes?
If you lose your device and backup codes for a secured login to Contractbook, contact our Support team to get assistance in resetting your account authentication.
