Set up the Salesforce integration

To build automations in integration with external applications that apply to all company contracts or utilize templates from shared template spaces, you must have user permissions to “Manage all contracts” enabled for your account, be the creator, or have shared “Manage templates” permissions in the specific source template space.

Once enabled, follow these steps to connect your Contractbook and Salesforce accounts.

Why connect Contractbook and Salesforce

Integrating with Salesforce enables you to automatically sync data between Salesforce and your contracts, streamlining your legal operations and pipeline management. By establishing this connection, you can significantly decrease the number of repetitive tasks in your workflow.

You can automate the process of populating your contracts with sales details taken directly from your Salesforce opportunities. For example, once a sales representative drags an opportunity into a new stage in Salesforce, the system will automatically create a contract draft based on the right template in Contractbook, with the relevant opportunity data already populated. Once the contract is fully signed, the opportunity properties in Salesforce are automatically updated.

Connect Contractbook to Salesforce

If you want to know how to connect Salesforce to your account, you can establish the integration directly from your automation settings.

  • Click on the Automations tab from the top main menu.

  • Click on Integrations from the left-hand sidebar.

  • Locate Salesforce under the CRM section.

  • Click on the blue Connect button to initiate the integration.

  • Use your Salesforce login credentials to connect in the pop-up window.

  • Review the requested permissions and choose to Accept and install.

Disconnect Contractbook from Salesforce

If you want to connect to a different Salesforce account or simply need to disconnect your Contractbook account, you must uninstall the app directly from your Salesforce settings.

This action will not delete any existing Contractbook data in Salesforce. Your Contractbook account will keep any generated documents with pulled Salesforce data intact, even after disconnection. However, the data sync will stop and your opportunities will no longer be updated automatically.

  • Navigate to your Salesforce account and open the Setup menu.

  • Type "OAuth" in the Quick Find box.

  • Select Connected Apps OAuth Usage from the search results.

  • Locate the Contractbook app in the list of connected apps.

  • Click the Uninstall button to remove the local copy of the connected app and its OAuth policies from your organization.
