Use the task management dashboard
Accessing the task management dashboard does not require special administrative permissions. Any user can navigate to the dashboard to get a comprehensive summary of their completed and upcoming contract obligations.
Follow the steps below to track your deadlines, filter your task lists, and manage them efficiently.
Navigate the dashboard tabs
Click on the Tasks tab from the main navigation menu.
Select one of the three main tabs from the left-hand sidebar to adjust your view:
Assigned to me: Displays only the list of tasks where you are the designated assignee.
Following: Displays only the list of tasks you are following to monitor their progress.
All tasks: Displays a combined list of all tasks you have access to as either an assignee or a follower.

Filter and organize your tasks
You can further refine your tasks overview using the filters and sorting options available on the dashboard.
Filter by task type: Open the filters drop-down list to select a specific type of task, or combine several different types of tasks in your listed results.
Identify overdue tasks: Keep an eye on your deadlines: all overdue tasks will automatically be highlighted with a red due date in your tasks overview.

View solved tasks: Check the box on the upper right-hand side to show all already completed tasks by clicking on Show marked as done.
Sort tasks by different criteria: Open the Sort by drop-down list to define the exact order in which the tasks will be listed in your dashboard by selecting the criteria you want to apply (their due date, view criteria, title, creation or edition date).

Frequently asked questions
Can I automate tasks?
Yes! Automating your tasks is highly recommended to save time and manual work. You can use the Automation builder to set up workflows that automatically create new tasks based on specific contract events or data fields (such as reaching renewal dates). You can also base a fully automated contract process on task completion or task’s due date being reached.
Can other company users see my tasks dashboard?
No, your task management dashboard is personal to your account in Contractbook. However, if another user from your company is added as a follower or assignee to any of the tasks you can view in the list, they will be able to see those specific tasks by navigating to the Following or Assigned to me tabs on their own tasks dashboard.
