Delete a template
Deleting a template is a permanent action. To delete a template from a shared templates space, you must have rights to “Manage templates” within that specific space. Ensure you have this permission enabled before proceeding with the deletion.
You can delete any template you no longer need directly from your templates overview.
Click on the Templates tab from the main navigation menu at the top of the screen.
Locate the template you wish to remove and click on the three dots icon next to the template name.
Select the Delete option (highlighted in red) from the dropdown menu.

Confirm the permanent deletion
Because this action cannot be undone, a final confirmation is required to ensure no important workflows are broken.
A confirmation window will appear asking, "Are you sure you want to delete the template?"
Click the red Yes, delete permanently button to finalize the removal.
If you changed your mind, click No, keep it or the X in the top right corner to cancel.

What happens after a template deletion?
Irreversibility: Once confirmed, the template is removed from your templates list and your company's shared template spaces.
Aggregated usage: Deleting a template will reduce your total company template count, which you can monitor under your Subscription settings if you have user permissions to “Manage subscription” enabled on your account.
Existing drafts: Any contract drafts previously created from this template will remain intact and will not be deleted.
Broken automations: Any active Automations that use the deleted template will immediately stop functioning (they will fail). You will need to manually update your automated workflows to connect them to the correct new template.

Recovering deleted templates
If a template was deleted by mistake, you cannot restore it yourself. In such cases, you can use our guide to learn more about the recovery process.
This allows you to improve the content while keeping the template in its existing shared space and maintaining any existing automations already connected to the template.
